Renewable Energy at Contaminated Sites

Successful renewable energy projects on brownfield sites can be complicated, but cities have an advantage because they are proximate to users and the critical infrastructure components already exist.  With increasing energy demand and limited capacity, as well as renewable energy requirements for utility providers, the need for renewable energy development has become essential.  This panel session will provides specialized information to help implement these projects including DOE’s Solar America Communities effort, technical assistance from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and case examples.
